  • Carefully manage our use of natural resources, minimize pollution, respect the culture and customs of the communities affected by our operations, and encourage sustainable use of resources.
  • Ensure contractors and employees that work for our company incorporate our commitment to safety and environmental protection by conducting operations in a manner intended to prevent or minimize injuries and occupational illnesses, negative impacts to neighboring communities and damage to the ecosystem.
  • Ensure all workers are aware of their right to refuse work that they determine to be unsafe.
  • Ensure corporate preparedness with an effective emergency response program

To continually improve, we:

  • Develop action plans to establish the EHS performance objectives necessary to address risks and opportunities associated with our operations relevant to personnel, community, environment and resources.
  • Involve appropriate levels of the organization in implementation of our EHS plans.
  • Measure our EHS performance and the performance of our contractors to improve our EHS management system and enhance EHS performance.
  • Encourage all workers to report immediately any unsafe or inappropriate work activities
  • Undertake timely incident investigations and take actions based on learnings.

To communicate, we:

  • Listen to and consider the concerns and views of interested parties.
  • Provide clear and candid environmental, health or safety information about our operations to customers, employees, government agencies and the public, as appropriate.
